The Rich Symbols of Quinceañera

An accurate history of the quinceañera celebration is hard to attain. Some historians believe that its origins began withe the tribes of Meso-America - the Mayas and Toltecs. A fifteen year celebration and instruction period for both young men and women can be traced back to the Azetecs. There is some evidence that the Spaniards brought a similar custom to the Americas.
